Mumbai, India – August 27, 2026 – Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles has officially unveiled TATA.CARS as its new unified consumer-facing identity. This strategic move brings all of Tata Motors’ passenger vehicles, including hatchbacks, sedans, SUVs, and electric vehicles, under a single, forward-looking brand umbrella.
'Nothing’s Too Far' – A New Brand Promise
The rebrand is anchored by the new promise, ‘Nothing’s Too Far,’ aiming to transform mobility from a mere daily commute into an ambition-driven experience. Speaking at the launch event in Mumbai, Shailesh Chandra, MD & CEO, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, emphasized that the initiative reflects India's evolving aspirations.
“More than a new brand identity, it is a declaration of intent for the future we envision,” stated Chandra. “Mobility should open doors, embrace possibilities and empower people to get closer to what matters most to them.”
Strategic Alignment and Market Presence
With over 70 lakh customers on the road, a dominant SUV portfolio, and established leadership in the electric vehicle (EV) segment, Tata Motors positions this identity shift as a crucial step for its next phase of growth. The company aims to leverage this unified identity to continue its momentum in connected technology and clean power solutions.
Customers will soon encounter the TATA.CARS branding across all physical dealerships, service centers, and digital touchpoints, ensuring a seamless experience throughout the search, purchase, and ownership journey.
Continuity Amidst Change
Despite the new consumer-facing identity, the individual vehicle nameplates and the iconic Tata emblem displayed on existing models will remain unchanged. Furthermore, “Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd” will continue as the official legal entity name, maintaining the company’s core focus on safety, engineering, and quality. The adoption of 'TATA.CARS' formalizes a term that Indian car buyers have colloquially used for decades, rooting the brand in authentic consumer behavior.
