· · 2 min read

Symphony Limited shares surged over 13% to Rs 652.25 today after the company announced plans to expand its India product portfolio. The household appliance firm will enter the Room Air Conditioner, BLDC Ceiling Fan, and Air Purifier markets.

Shares of Symphony Limited experienced a significant rally, climbing over 13.51% to reach Rs 652.25 in early trading on Tuesday. This surge follows the company's announcement of its proposal to strategically expand its product portfolio in India.

The household appliance manufacturer intends to make a calibrated and phased entry into several new categories: Room Air Conditioners, BLDC Ceiling Fans, and Air Purifiers. This move marks a notable diversification for Symphony, traditionally known for its air coolers.

Strategic Expansion Targets New Markets

The proposed expansion aims to broaden Symphony’s addressable market within India by venturing into adjacent consumer-durable categories that offer long-term growth potential. The company plans to leverage its existing strengths in cooling technology, brand building, extensive distribution networks, consumer insights, and established after-sales service capabilities.

This strategy aligns with Symphony's stated focus on strengthening its “Beyond India Summer Products” (BISP) portfolio, while simultaneously reinforcing its leadership position in the Indian household air cooler segment.
