· · 2 min read

Suzlon Energy Ltd. has secured a 200 MW wind energy order from Ayana Renewable Power, marking their first collaboration. The project, located in Limbawas, Madhya Pradesh, will install 64 S144 wind turbines and connect to the state grid.

Suzlon Energy Ltd. announced on Tuesday that it has received a significant 200 MW wind energy order from Ayana Renewable Power Ltd. This collaboration marks Ayana's inaugural order with Suzlon and represents Suzlon's third 'DevCo-led' wind project across Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh.

The ambitious project is slated for execution in Limbawas, Madhya Pradesh. It will involve the installation of 64 units of Suzlon's advanced S144 wind turbines, each boasting a rated capacity of 3.15 MW. Once operational, the electricity generated will be seamlessly integrated into the Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Ltd (MPPCL) state grid, contributing to the region's renewable energy supply.

Comprehensive Project Execution

Suzlon will manage the project through its comprehensive end-to-end engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) offering. This extensive scope covers every aspect from turbine supply and land acquisition to the balance of plant (BoP), pooling substation (PSS), extra high voltage (EHV) line installation, commissioning, and ongoing operations and maintenance services.

Ajay Kapur, Chief Executive Officer of Suzlon Group, emphasized the company's integrated capabilities. "Our end-to-end capabilities give us the strength to develop and execute wind projects efficiently, while creating new business opportunities. We are already seeing the results of our integrated approach to developing renewable energy assets, with four wind orders secured across two states in a short span of time," Kapur stated.

The company also highlighted a significant milestone with this order, as its S144 platform has now surpassed 10 GW in total capacity.

Ayana Renewable Power's Strategic Expansion

For Ayana Renewable Power, this project is a strategic move to expand its footprint in the wind energy sector. Lakshmi Narayanan B, Head of Business Development at Ayana Renewable Power, expressed confidence in the partnership.

"This project marks an important milestone for Ayana as we establish our wind presence in Madhya Pradesh. Suzlon's proven technology, strong execution capabilities, and integrated project delivery approach made them the right partner for this project. We look forward to working together to deliver long-term value and contribute to India's clean energy transition," Narayanan B commented.

The collaboration underscores a shared commitment to advancing India's clean energy transition through robust renewable infrastructure development.
