· · 3 min read

Skoda India is set to launch the updated Slavia sedan on October 6, 2026, featuring a segment-first rear-seat massage function, 360-degree camera, and AI-powered infotainment. Prices are expected to range from ₹10.25 – 19 lakh ex-showroom.

Skoda India officially launches the highly anticipated Slavia facelift sedan today, October 6, 2026. The refreshed midsize sedan aims to elevate the driving experience with sharper styling, advanced technology, and enhanced comfort features, positioning itself as a premium offering in its competitive segment.

The updated Slavia introduces several key upgrades, including a segment-first rear-seat massage function, a comprehensive 360-degree camera system, and an innovative AI-powered infotainment system. These additions are designed to attract buyers seeking sophisticated features without stepping into a luxury badge.

Refined Design and Exterior Updates

The exterior of the Skoda Slavia facelift receives a notable refresh, starting with revised LED headlamps and an updated front grille that gives the sedan a more aggressive stance. New bumpers at both the front and rear, along with updated LED tail lamps featuring sequential turn indicators, modernize its appearance.

Further enhancing its visual appeal are new 16-inch alloy wheel designs and the introduction of additional color options, including Arctic Silver and Cappuccino Beige, offering buyers more personalization choices.

Advanced Interior, Technology, and Comfort Features

Inside, the Slavia facelift boasts a new 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, providing drivers with clear, customizable information. The infotainment experience is upgraded with an updated 10.1-inch touchscreen system that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

A significant technological highlight is the new AI Companion, powered by Google Cloud’s Automotive AI Agent. This system is specifically tuned to recognize Indian English accents, enabling seamless voice control for various functions such as music, calls, and climate settings. Comfort and convenience are boosted by a single-pane sunroof, powered and ventilated front seats, and the segment-first rear-seat massage function. For easier low-speed maneuvers, the sedan also incorporates a 360-degree Area View camera and front parking sensors.

Engine and Transmission Enhancements

Under the hood, the Skoda Slavia facelift retains its two reliable turbo-petrol engine options: a 1.0-litre TSI engine producing 115 PS and 178 Nm of torque, and a more potent 1.5-litre TSI unit delivering 150 PS and 250 Nm of torque.

A major mechanical revision involves the 1.0-litre unit, which now pairs with an all-new eight-speed torque-converter automatic transmission, replacing the previous six-speed automatic. The 1.5-litre engine continues to be offered with the efficient seven-speed DSG transmission.

Market Positioning and Availability

Production of the updated Slavia has already commenced at Skoda Auto Volkswagen India's Chakan plant in Pune. The facelift is strategically launched ahead of the festive season, a period known for increased demand in the passenger vehicle market.

Skoda emphasizes the Slavia's success, with nearly 80,000 units sold in India since its initial launch, accounting for approximately 30 percent of its segment. The facelift, with its blend of technology, comfort, and design upgrades, is poised to maintain and potentially expand its market share.
