Shiprocket Shares Soar 62% from IPO Price as Goldman Sachs Acquires Stake

Shiprocket Ltd. shares have surged 62% above their IPO price in two days, reaching a high of Rs 156.81. This rally follows Goldman Sachs India Equity Portfolio's acquisition of a 0.55% stake in the logistics platform for Rs 52.7 crore.

Shares of Shiprocket Ltd., a prominent logistics aggregation and e-commerce enablement platform, have witnessed a remarkable surge, climbing 62% above their initial public offering (IPO) price in just two days of trading. The stock, which listed on Wednesday with a 35% gain, continued its upward trajectory, reaching a high of Rs 156.81 per share on Thursday, August 20, 2026.

This significant rally comes as global financial giant Goldman Sachs made a substantial entry into the counter. Goldman Sachs Funds Goldman Sachs India Equity Portfolio purchased 40.24 lakh shares, representing a 0.55% stake in Shiprocket, for a total of Rs 52.7 crore. The acquisition was made at a price of Rs 131 per share.

Shiprocket's Market Performance and IPO Details

The robust buying interest propelled Shiprocket's market capitalization to Rs 11,153 crore. On Thursday alone, the logistics stock gained 9.27%, with a turnover of Rs 104.67 crore as 68.36 lakh shares changed hands on the BSE.

Shiprocket's IPO, which was open for subscription from August 12 to August 14, offered shares in a price band of Rs 92-97 per share. Investors could apply for a lot size of 154 shares. The company successfully raised Rs 1,617 crore through the IPO, comprising a fresh share sale of Rs 885 crore and an offer-for-sale (OFS) of up to 7.54 equity shares valued at Rs 732 crore.
