Sansera Engineering Shares Jump 7% as Goldman Sachs Raises Target Price to ₹4,990

· · 2 min read

Sansera Engineering stock surged over 7% on Tuesday after Goldman Sachs reaffirmed its 'Buy' rating and increased the target price to ₹4,990. The brokerage cited potential growth from global semiconductor investments in India and a significant existing order.

Shares of Sansera Engineering Ltd. experienced a notable rise of 7.06% on Tuesday, closing at ₹4,598.45. This surge came after investment bank Goldman Sachs maintained its 'Buy' rating on the auto component manufacturer and revised its target price upwards from ₹4,500 to ₹4,990.

The updated target price suggests an upside potential of approximately 8.5% from the day's closing price, signaling strong confidence from the brokerage firm.

Semiconductor Investments Fuel Optimism

Goldman Sachs highlighted several factors contributing to its optimistic outlook. Key among these are recent substantial investment announcements by major global semiconductor capital equipment makers, Applied Materials and LAM Research, in India. Applied Materials plans to invest $5 billion, while LAM Research has committed $1.2 billion.

These investments are expected to foster the development of local supplier ecosystems and expand research and development activities within India's semiconductor sector. Goldman Sachs views these developments as significant long-term growth drivers for Sansera's high-margin aerospace, defence, and semiconductor (ADS) component supply business.

Existing Orders and Future Projections

Further bolstering the positive sentiment, Goldman Sachs also drew attention to Sansera's existing $180 million semiconductor order from a current client, which was announced in August. This order, coupled with the anticipated expansion of semiconductor manufacturing and equipment operations in India, is projected to create additional opportunities for Sansera's ADS division.

In light of these developments, the brokerage has adjusted its earnings-per-share estimate for FY29 upwards. Goldman Sachs forecasts Sansera's revenue to climb from ₹34,979.2 crore in FY26 to ₹60,968.2 crore by FY29. Over the same period, EBITDA is projected to increase from ₹6,320.9 crore to ₹13,507.5 crore, underscoring the expected robust performance of the company's high-margin segments.
