Bengaluru-based furniture and appliance rental platform Rentomojo will launch its ₹1,255 crore Initial Public Offering on September 9, with shares priced between ₹384 and ₹404. The IPO includes a fresh issue and an offer-for-sale by existing shareholders.

Rentomojo, a prominent technology-driven platform for furniture and appliance rentals in India, is set to open its Initial Public Offering (IPO) for public subscription on September 9. The Bengaluru-headquartered company, backed by Accel India, aims to raise ₹1,255 crore through this offering, with the price band fixed at ₹384-404 per equity share.

IPO Structure and Key Dates

The Rentomojo IPO is structured to include a fresh issue of shares worth up to ₹150 crore, alongside an offer-for-sale (OFS) of 2.73 crore equity shares, amounting to ₹1,105.5 crore, by existing investors. Prominent selling shareholders in the OFS include Accel India, Edelweiss, IDG Ventures India, ValueQuest, Madison India, GMO, and founder Geetansh Bamania.

The public issue will close on September 11, following the anchor book opening for a single day on September 8. Share allotment is anticipated to be finalized by September 15, with the company's shares expected to commence trading on the stock exchanges around September 17.

A portion of the net issue, specifically ₹2 crore, has been reserved for employees, who will receive shares at a discount of ₹20 per share from the final offer price. The allocation breakdown reserves 50 percent of the net issue for qualified institutional buyers (QIBs), 35 percent for retail investors, and 15 percent for non-institutional investors (NIIs).

Utilization of Fresh Issue Proceeds

Rentomojo plans to utilize ₹70 crore from the fresh issue proceeds to partially repay its existing debt, which stood at ₹258.3 crore as of June 2026. An additional ₹42.5 crore is earmarked for lease rentals or license fees associated with its warehouses and experience stores. The remaining funds will be allocated for general corporate purposes.

Company Profile and Financial Performance

Founded by Geetansh Bamania, Rentomojo operates as a direct-to-consumer online rental and subscription platform, offering a wide array of furniture and appliances. As of March 2026, the company boasted a significant operational footprint, comprising 20 warehouses and 82 experience stores, all operating on a leasehold basis. Rentomojo positions itself as the largest online rental and subscription platform for home furniture and appliances based on its live subscriber base.

Financially, Rentomojo has demonstrated robust growth. For the fiscal year ended March 2026, the company reported a profit of ₹104.2 crore, a substantial increase from ₹43.1 crore recorded in the previous fiscal year. Revenue also saw a healthy surge of 45.5 percent, climbing to ₹387 crore from ₹266 crore year-on-year.

At the upper end of the IPO price band, Rentomojo is seeking a market capitalization of ₹4,006.2 crore. Motilal Oswal Investment Advisors, Axis Capital, and IIFL Capital Services are serving as the merchant bankers for the issue.
