Ranbir Kapoor's highly anticipated film, Ramayana: Part 1, has crossed a significant milestone, achieving more than $2.15 million (approximately ₹20.50 crore) in worldwide advance bookings ahead of its November 5 theatrical release. This figure includes sales for November 4 preview screenings in North America, signaling a robust opening for the epic film.
According to Sacnilk's latest updates, the advance booking momentum for Ramayana: Part 1 is strong across key global markets. India has emerged as the leading contributor, generating over $1.20 million in sales for the November 5 opening day. Overseas markets have also shown considerable interest, adding more than $400,000 to the total for the same day.
North America Contributes to Early Success
A notable portion of the worldwide total comes from North America, where advance bookings for November 4 preview screenings alone have exceeded $550,000. When combined with the November 5 sales from India and other international territories, these preview figures push the film past the $2 million mark globally.
While these are reported advance gross figures and subject to change as more screens open and additional shows are added, the current trend positions Ramayana: Part 1 for a strong debut. The film, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, features Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, and Sai Pallavi in lead roles, and its box office performance is being closely monitored.
Comparing Advance Booking Pace
The advance booking pace for Ramayana: Part 1 has been steady, nearing 1 lakh (100,000) ticket sales on BookMyShow within four days of bookings opening on October 20. However, Sacnilk notes that its speed trails behind Dhurandhar: The Revenge, which reportedly sold approximately 87,810 tickets within 24 hours of its paid-preview bookings and quickly surpassed the 1 lakh mark.
In terms of first-day advance gross, Ramayana collected around ₹5.44 crore, including block seats. In comparison, Dhurandhar 2 registered over ₹10 crore during its corresponding booking period, giving the Ranveer Singh-starrer a substantial lead. Despite the slower overall pace, Ramayana has demonstrated strong demand for premium formats, with select IMAX screenings selling out rapidly despite higher ticket prices. With ten days remaining until its official release, the film's advance booking trend provides a solid foundation for its opening-day performance.
