· · 2 min read

Investors aiming for dividends from Persistent Systems and Wipro must purchase shares today, July 24, 2026. Both IT giants are scheduled to trade ex-dividend on July 27, 2026, with record dates set for their respective payouts.

Today, July 24, 2026, marks the final trading day for investors to acquire shares of Persistent Systems Ltd and Wipro Ltd if they wish to be eligible for the upcoming dividend payouts. Both prominent IT companies are set to trade ex-dividend next week, on Monday, July 27, 2026.

Understanding Ex-Dividend Dates and T+1 Settlement

Under the Securities and Exchange Board of India's (SEBI) T+1 settlement cycle, shares purchased are credited to an investor's demat account one trading day after the transaction. To qualify for a dividend, shares must be in the investor's demat account by the record date. Therefore, buying shares on Friday, July 24, 2026, ensures they are settled in time for the July 27 record date.

Persistent Systems Dividend Details

Persistent Systems has declared a final dividend of Rs 18 per equity share, based on a face value of Rs 5, for the financial year 2025-26 (FY26). This recommendation was made by the company's Board of Directors in April 2026 and is subject to shareholder approval at the 36th Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled for Monday, August 3, 2026. If approved, the dividend will be disbursed within 30 days of its declaration.

Wipro's Interim Dividend

Wipro has announced an interim dividend of Rs 2 per equity share, with a face value of Rs 2. The Board of Directors approved this payout during their meeting held between July 15-16, 2026. The record date for Wipro's interim dividend is also July 27, 2026, and the payment is scheduled to be made on or before August 14, 2026.
