Parth Jindal has been named Chairman of JSW MG Motor India, effective immediately. This leadership transition aims to accelerate the company's sustainable mobility initiatives, building on its success in the Indian EV market, which includes over 150,000 sales.

In a significant leadership transition within India’s dynamic automotive sector, the Board of Directors of JSW MG Motor India Private Limited has announced the appointment of Parth Jindal as the company's Chairman, with immediate effect.

Jindal's appointment comes as the joint venture, formed between the JSW Group and SAIC Motor, intensifies its focus on sustainable mobility and expanding its footprint in the electric vehicle (EV) market. JSW MG Motor India has already cemented its position in the Indian EV landscape, having surpassed 150,000 EV sales since its inception, notably anchored by the MG Windsor, which has emerged as a top-selling electric vehicle in the country.

Jindal's Strategic Vision and Extensive Experience

Parth Jindal is not new to the strategic direction of JSW MG Motor India, having served on its Board since the company's formation. In this capacity, he has been instrumental in shaping product strategy, scaling manufacturing operations, and driving deep localization programs across the company's extensive operations.

Beyond his pivotal role in the automotive joint venture, Jindal holds a broad leadership portfolio within the larger JSW Group ecosystem. He serves as the Managing Director of JSW Cement and JSW Paints, and is the Chairman of JSW Dulux Limited. Additionally, he sits on the Board of JSW Energy. His entrepreneurial spirit is also evident as the Founder of JSW Sports, where he holds the position of Chairman and Co-Owner of the Delhi Capitals sports franchise.

Driving India's Green Mobility Future

The strategic alliance between the JSW Group and SAIC Motor combines robust Indian market expertise with global automotive manufacturing capabilities. The company has consistently prioritized the integration of advanced technology, the development of localized supply chains, and the expansion of its manufacturing capacity to support its ambitious goals in the electric vehicle segment.

With Parth Jindal at the helm, JSW MG Motor India is poised to further accelerate its initiatives in green mobility, aiming to drive innovation and sustainable growth within India's rapidly evolving automotive industry.
