Oben Electric has officially unveiled its latest innovation, the Rorr EVO electric motorcycle, positioning it as a high-performance option for eco-conscious riders. The new model comes with an introductory price of Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom) for the initial 10,000 customers. Enthusiasts can look forward to test rides and deliveries commencing in June 2026, accessible through Oben's extensive network of 150 showrooms.
AI-Driven Performance and Range
A standout feature of the Oben Rorr EVO is its SmartIQ, an advanced AI-driven ride mode. This intelligent system continuously monitors riding patterns in real-time, automatically adapting to rider behavior to optimize power delivery. Oben Electric claims this technology can enhance the motorcycle's range by up to 15%.
Powering the Rorr EVO is an in-house developed 9 kW motor, paired with a single-stage chain drive. This setup enables the motorcycle to accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in just 3 seconds and reach a top speed of 110 km/h. The bike is equipped with a 3.4 kWh LFP battery, which provides a certified IDC range of 180 km on a single charge. Real-world range figures are anticipated to be around 150 km.
Rider Comfort, Utility, and Safety Innovations
Oben has integrated several segment-first features to enhance rider comfort and utility. The Rorr EVO offers a total storage capacity of 10 liters, split between a 6L under-seat compartment and a 4L tank pod. The tank pod, a novel addition for this type of motorcycle, also includes a charging port for smartphones. Ergonomics are further improved with the longest seat in its segment at 680mm and an accessible seat height of 780mm.
Charging efficiency is a key focus, with the Oben Plug fast charger allowing the battery to reach 0-80% capacity in just 90 minutes. The motorcycle's robust design, featuring 200mm ground clearance and 230mm water-wading capability, ensures it can navigate diverse road conditions with ease.
Technology extends to the rider interface, with a 5-inch color TFT display that seamlessly integrates with the Oben Electric app for navigation, ride history tracking, and enhanced theft protection. Safety features are comprehensive, including a Fall Alert system with Emergency Assist, which notifies Oben’s in-house platform “ARGUS” and the rider’s emergency contacts in the event of a crash. Additional safety measures include Unified Brake Assist and a Driver Alert System.
Color Options and Availability
The Oben Rorr EVO electric motorcycle will be available in four distinct colors: Pulse Red, Neutron Blue, Magnetic Black, and Photon White, offering personalization options for prospective owners.
