Oben Electric introduced its latest innovation, the Rorr EVO electric motorcycle, on April 30, 2026. This high-performance model is available at an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 99,999 for the initial 10,000 customers. The company plans to commence test rides and deliveries in June 2026 across its network of 150 showrooms.
Performance and Power
The Rorr EVO is powered by an in-house developed 9 kW motor, connected to a single-stage chain drive. This setup allows the motorcycle to accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in just 3 seconds and achieve a top speed of 110 km/h. It is equipped with a 3.4 kWh LFP battery, delivering a certified IDC range of 180 km on a single charge. Real-world range is anticipated to be around 150 km.
SmartIQ Technology and Features
A standout feature of the Rorr EVO is its SmartIQ, an AI-powered ride mode. This system intelligently monitors riding patterns in real-time and adjusts power delivery to optimize performance and extend the motorcycle's range by up to 15%.
Rider Comfort and Utility
- Storage: The Rorr EVO offers 10 liters of total storage capacity, split between a 6L under-seat compartment and a 4L tank pod. The tank pod also includes a charging port for smartphones.
- Ergonomics: It features the longest seat in its segment at 680mm and an accessible seat height of 780mm, prioritizing rider comfort.
- Charging: The Oben Plug fast charger can replenish the battery from 0% to 80% in just 90 minutes.
- Durability: With a 200mm ground clearance and 230mm water-wading capability, the motorcycle is designed to handle diverse road conditions.
Connectivity and Safety
The Rorr EVO integrates a 5-inch color TFT display and connects with the Oben Electric app, offering features like navigation, ride history, and theft protection. Safety is enhanced with a Fall Alert system that includes Emergency Assist, notifying Oben’s “ARGUS” platform and the rider’s emergency contacts in case of a crash. Additional safety features include Unified Brake Assist and a Driver Alert System.
The electric motorcycle is available in four distinct colors: Pulse Red, Neutron Blue, Magnetic Black, and Photon White.
