Design and Market Position
Nissan states that the Tekton draws design inspiration from its larger Patrol SUV, though it has been developed as part of the company's “One Car, One World” global program. Beyond India, the Tekton is slated for export to various international markets, including regions in the Middle East and Africa.
The Tekton enters a crowded segment, facing strong competition from established rivals such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Honda Elevate, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, and MG Astor. Bookings for the new Nissan Tekton are now open across Nissan's dealership network and through its online channels, as the brand aims to solidify its presence in the Indian automotive landscape.
