The highly anticipated film "Mirzapur: The Movie," starring Pankaj Tripathi and Ravi Kishan, has made a powerful debut at the global box office, accumulating a worldwide gross of ₹79.55 crore within its initial two days of release. Industry tracker Sacnilk reports that the movie is now poised for a significant weekend surge, with expectations to surpass the ₹100 crore milestone.

Strong Opening Day Performance

Released on September 4, the crime thriller demonstrated remarkable pulling power on its opening day, netting ₹25.75 crore across India from 11,135 shows. This impressive figure, as per Sacnilk's data, marks the biggest Day 1 opener in Excel Entertainment’s 25-year history, outperforming previous blockbusters like "Gold," "Raees," and "Gully Boy." The film's Day 1 India gross stood at ₹30.90 crore, contributing to a worldwide gross of ₹35.15 crore, which included ₹4.25 crore from international markets.

Momentum Builds on Day 2

The momentum continued on September 5, with "Mirzapur: The Movie" experiencing a substantial jump in collections. Sacnilk recorded a Day 2 India net collection of ₹32.00 crore from 11,256 shows, representing a 24.3% growth from its opening day. This pushed the cumulative India net collection to ₹57.75 crore and the India gross to ₹69.30 crore within 48 hours.

Internationally, the film added approximately ₹6 crore on Day 2, elevating its total overseas gross to ₹10.25 crore. Combined with the domestic figures, the global gross reached ₹79.55 crore. The strong performance has officially seen the film cross the ₹50 crore net mark in India.

Among 2026's Top Hindi Openers

With its robust Day 1 net of ₹25.75 crore and sustained performance on Day 2, "Mirzapur: The Movie" has cemented its position as one of the top Hindi openers of 2026. The film has benefited from high occupancy rates in multiplexes and strong audience turnout across key Hindi-speaking regions, indicating significant commercial success. It currently stands out among other notable releases of the year, showcasing its strong appeal to audiences.
