Milky Mist Dairy Food, an Erode-based packaged food company specializing in premium value-added dairy products, experienced a robust stock market debut on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. Shares of the company listed at Rs 165 apiece on both the BSE Ltd and the NSE, representing a significant 17.86 percent premium over its initial public offering (IPO) issue price of Rs 140 per share.

This strong performance exceeded pre-listing expectations, which had indicated a premium of around Rs 19-20 per share, suggesting a 14 percent listing gain. Investors who were allotted a lot of 107 shares at the issue price are estimated to have made a profit of Rs 2,625 on their initial investment.

IPO Details and Investor Reception

The IPO for Milky Mist Dairy Food ran for subscription between August 11 and August 13, 2026. The company offered its shares within a price band of Rs 133-140 per share, with a lot size of 107 shares. The primary objective was to raise Rs 1,553 crore, comprising a fresh share sale of Rs 1,428 crore and an offer-for-sale (OFS) of up to 8,928,570 equity shares valued at Rs 125 crore.

The issue garnered overwhelming investor interest, being subscribed a solid 56.12 times overall. It attracted nearly 28.60 lakh applications, fetching bids worth approximately Rs 64,200 crore. Qualified Institutional Bidders (QIBs) showed exceptional demand, subscribing 155.83 times their allotted quota. Non-Institutional Investors (NIIs) subscribed 34.91 times, retail bidders 8.41 times, and employee quotas were booked 12.43 times.

Brokerage firms had largely given positive recommendations to subscribe to the IPO. JM Financial Ltd, Axis Capital, and IIFL Capital Services served as the book-running lead managers for the Milky Mist IPO, while Kfin Technologies Ltd was the official registrar for the issue.
