The initial public offering (IPO) for Manika Plastech, a manufacturer of rigid polymer packaging products, opened for subscription today, September 11. The company aims to raise Rs 125 crore through this public issue, which includes a fresh issuance of shares worth Rs 92 crore and an offer-for-sale (OFS) of Rs 33 crore by its promoter entity, VRIDAA Holding Trust.

IPO Details and Key Dates

Manika Plastech is offering its shares in a price band of Rs 40 to Rs 43 per equity share. Investors can apply for a minimum of 348 shares and in multiples thereafter. The subscription window will remain open until Wednesday, September 16. The net proceeds from the fresh issue are earmarked for funding capital expenditure, repaying certain borrowings, and general corporate purposes.

Company Profile and Financials

Incorporated in 1996 and based in Silvassa, Manika Plastech specializes in manufacturing products such as battery casings, pails, and thin-wall containers for various industrial and consumer applications. The company reported a net profit of Rs 22.40 crore on a revenue of Rs 437.26 crore for the financial year 2025-26. For the quarter ending June 30, 2026, its net profit stood at Rs 13.07 crore with revenue of Rs 162.71 crore. The current market capitalization is slightly over Rs 500 crore.

Anchor Investors and Grey Market Premium (GMP)

Ahead of the IPO, Manika Plastech successfully raised Rs 37.65 crore from five anchor investors by allocating 8,755,813 equity shares at Rs 43 apiece. Notable anchor investors include The Wealth Company Alternate Trust, Trust Mutual Fund, Finavenue Capital Trust, and Nova Global Opportunities Fund PCC.

As per market observers, Manika Plastech shares were commanding a grey market premium (GMP) of Rs 13-15 per share, suggesting potential listing gains of 30-35 percent for investors.
