LPG, CNG, PNG Prices Stable on June 27: Check Latest City Rates Across India

· · 2 min read

Domestic LPG, CNG, and PNG prices remain largely stable across major Indian cities on June 27, with the government assuring 100% supply. Commercial LPG rates also hold steady, while crude oil prices see a slight dip.

Fuel prices for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), and Piped Natural Gas (PNG) largely held steady across India on June 27. This stability offers continued relief to consumers, despite ongoing global energy market dynamics.

Domestic & Commercial LPG Prices Hold Steady

Household 14.2 kg LPG cylinder rates have remained unchanged nationwide since their last revision on June 7. Similarly, commercial 19 kg LPG cylinder prices have not seen an alteration since June 1. This stability comes as the West Asia conflict, which has influenced global energy markets, reportedly nears an end.

For example, a 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder is priced at ₹942 in Delhi, ₹941.50 in Mumbai, ₹957.50 in Chennai, and ₹968 in Kolkata. Other major cities like Bengaluru (₹944.50), Hyderabad (₹994), Jaipur (₹945.50), and Noida (₹939.50) also reflect these stable rates.

Commercial LPG cylinders (19 kg) are available at ₹3,113.50 in Delhi, ₹3,067.50 in Mumbai, ₹3,283.50 in Chennai, and ₹3,255.50 in Kolkata. Prices in Bengaluru are ₹3,198.50, Hyderabad ₹3,367.50, and Jaipur ₹3,141.50.

CNG & PNG Rates Unchanged Since May

CNG and PNG prices have also maintained their rates since their last hike in May. The government has reassured consumers by stating that 100% supply of domestic LPG, PNG, and CNG is being consistently maintained across the country, with no reported dryouts at LPG distributorships. Online bookings for LPG have notably increased to 98%.

Current CNG prices on June 27 include ₹83.09 per kg in Delhi, ₹86 in Mumbai, ₹97 in Chennai, and ₹93.50 in Kolkata. Bengaluru and Hyderabad also see rates of ₹97 per kg, while Noida is at ₹91.70 per kg.

PNG rates are ₹49.59 per SCM in Delhi, ₹51.50 in Mumbai, ₹50 in Chennai, and ₹50 in Kolkata. Bengaluru customers pay ₹53 per SCM, Hyderabad ₹51, and Noida ₹49.45.

Global Factors and Supply Assurance

The recent waiver of sanctions on Iranian petroleum imports by the US for 60 days has contributed to a slight dip in crude oil prices. Brent crude was trading around $71.99 per barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude stood at $69.23 per barrel on June 27.

However, the partial resumption of oil cargo movement via the Strait of Hormuz continues to impact India, as the nation sources a significant portion of its crude and LPG imports from West Asian countries. In response to global supply dynamics, the government has adjusted the number of subsidized cylinders available under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) from nine to four. Consumers are advised to regularly monitor city-specific price updates and policy changes to effectively manage their household fuel expenses.
