Eyewear giant Lenskart Solutions has announced a significant financial uplift, with its consolidated net profit after tax (PAT) skyrocketing by 269.24% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹221.84 crore for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2027 (Q1 FY27). This remarkable growth comes compared to a net profit of ₹60.08 crore in the same period last fiscal year.
The company also reported a substantial increase in its revenue from operations, which climbed 43.26% YoY to ₹2,714.18 crore in Q1 FY27, up from ₹1,894.46 crore in Q1 FY26. These robust figures highlight Lenskart’s strong performance across its business segments.
Key Financial and Operational Highlights
- EBITDA Growth: Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortisation (EBITDA) rose by 61.3% YoY to ₹589 crore.
- PAT Margin Expansion: Lenskart's PAT margin expanded significantly to 8.4% in Q1 FY27, a 443 basis point improvement from 4% a year earlier.
- Lenskart Gold Membership: The active membership base for Lenskart Gold reached an impressive 93.5 lakh during the quarter, with subscription fees contributing ₹66 crore, marking a 57.4% YoY growth.
Store Expansion Fuels Domestic and International Growth
Lenskart continued its aggressive expansion strategy, adding 132 net new stores in Q1 FY27, a substantial increase compared to 83 stores added in the year-ago quarter. This expansion brings the company's total active store count to 3,459.
India Operations
- In India, Lenskart added 116 net new stores, with 83 of these located in Tier 2-plus cities.
- The company successfully entered 50 new cities during the quarter, broadening its reach across the country.
International Performance
Lenskart's international segment also demonstrated strong growth, with revenue increasing by 38% YoY to ₹1,203 crore in Q1 FY27. On a constant-currency (CC) basis, the revenue growth stood at approximately 29% YoY, indicating solid underlying performance despite favorable currency movements.
“This growth was broad-based, with robust performance across Japan, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and our other geographies,” the company stated, emphasizing the widespread success of its global ventures.
The international operations saw the addition of 16 net new stores, bringing the total international store count to 734.
The Q1 earnings were released shortly after market hours on Wednesday. Earlier in the trading session, Lenskart shares experienced a slight decline of 0.42%, closing at ₹586.55.
