· · 2 min read

Infrastructure firm KEC International has won new orders totaling ₹1,303 crore for its Transmission & Distribution and Cables businesses. These projects span India, the Middle East, and the Americas, significantly boosting the company's year-to-date order intake.

KEC International Ltd, a prominent infrastructure engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company, has announced new order wins valued at ₹1,303 crore. These significant contracts cover its core Transmission & Distribution (T&D) and Cables & Conductors businesses, reinforcing the company's market position.

Global Expansion in Transmission & Distribution

The new Transmission & Distribution orders extend KEC International's footprint across key international markets. In India, the company secured a prestigious contract for a 400 kV transmission line in Northern India. This project, awarded by an existing private client, is crucial for evacuating power from a hydroelectric plant in the region.

Further strengthening its presence in the Middle East, KEC International has also won orders for 380 kV transmission lines in Saudi Arabia. In the Americas, the company secured orders for the supply of essential towers, hardware, and poles, underscoring its diverse capabilities.

Growth in Cables & Conductors Business

Alongside the substantial T&D orders, KEC International’s Cables & Conductors business also secured various contracts across both India and international markets, contributing to the overall order book growth.

Strong Order Pipeline and Outlook

With these latest wins, KEC International's year-to-date T&D order intake now stands at over ₹7,600 crore. Vimal Kejriwal, Managing Director and CEO of KEC International, expressed satisfaction with the new orders, acknowledging the challenging environment.

“Our India T&D business has secured a prestigious order from an existing private client for a transmission line project to evacuate power from a hydroelectric plant in Northern India. The International T&D business has further strengthened its presence in the Middle East with multiple order wins in Saudi Arabia,” Kejriwal stated.

He added that the outlook for the company’s T&D business remains robust, supported by the recent orders, a strong bid pipeline, and sustained demand across its key markets. These orders are expected to play a crucial role in driving KEC International’s targeted growth moving forward.
