· · 2 min read

Jio Platforms has set its IPO price band at Rs 1,065-1,119 per share, with the issue set to open October 21. Valued at Rs 30,213 crore at the upper end, it is poised to become India's largest public offering, surpassing Hyundai Motor India's 2024 record.

Jio Platforms Announces Price Band for India's Largest IPO

Reliance Industries' digital services arm, Jio Platforms Limited (JPL), has officially announced the price band for its much-anticipated Initial Public Offering (IPO). The shares will be offered in a range of Rs 1,065 to Rs 1,119 per equity share, positioning the public issue to become India's largest by size.

At the upper end of this price band, the IPO is projected to raise an impressive Rs 30,213 crore. This figure would significantly surpass the previous record held by Hyundai Motor India's Rs 27,870 crore offering in 2024, by approximately Rs 2,343 crore.

Key Details for Investors

The IPO committee of Jio Platforms' board approved the price band, along with an employee discount and the minimum bid lot, in a regulatory filing on October 14, 2026. Investors interested in participating will need to bid for a minimum of 12 equity shares, and in multiples of 12 thereafter. Each equity share holds a face value of Rs 10.

  • Floor Price: Rs 1,065 per equity share
  • Cap Price: Rs 1,119 per equity share
  • Minimum Retail Investment (at upper band): Rs 13,428
  • Minimum Retail Investment (at lower band): Rs 12,780

The total issue size comprises 27 crore equity shares. Additionally, eligible employees applying under the employee reservation portion will receive a discount of Rs 54 per equity share, bringing their effective price at the upper band down to Rs 1,065 per share.

IPO Timeline and Market Impact

Following the filing of its Red Herring Prospectus (RHP), Jio Platforms has scheduled the IPO to open for subscription on October 21, 2026, and it will close on October 23, 2026.

This landmark offering is set to reshape India's capital markets, potentially overshadowing other significant public issues from recent years, including the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) in 2026, Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) in 2022, One 97 Communications (Paytm) in 2021, and Tata Capital in 2025. The immense scale of Jio Platforms' IPO underscores the growing investor confidence in India's digital services sector.
