Shares of Ipca Laboratories Ltd experienced a significant rally, jumping 12.19% to reach an all-time high of Rs 1,945 in Monday's trade. This surge followed the pharmaceutical company's announcement of robust financial results for the June quarter of FY27, which surpassed Street expectations.
Ipca's Stellar Q1 FY27 Performance
Ipca Laboratories reported strong Q1 FY27 numbers, with key financial metrics showing impressive year-on-year growth:
- Revenue: Grew 21% YoY
- EBITDA: Surged 61% YoY
- PAT (Profit After Tax): Increased 72% YoY
These figures comfortably exceeded Street estimates by 8%, 24%, and 27% respectively. The company's EBITDA margin expanded by approximately 600 basis points YoY, reaching 24%. The India business demonstrated solid growth of 13% YoY, while the institutional export business doubled, reaching Rs 120 crore. However, a portion of this export growth (around Rs 40 crore) was attributed to shipments delayed from March into April, a timing benefit not expected to recur.
Key Business Segments and Future Guidance
Within its diverse operations, Ipca noted varied performance across segments:
- Branded Formulations: Performed well with 16% YoY growth.
- Generics: Showed relatively weaker growth at 8% YoY.
- API Business: Saw strong growth, up 33% in exports and 20% domestically.
Following these results, Ipca Laboratories upgraded its FY27 revenue growth guidance to 14–16% from the earlier 12–13%. Consolidated EBITDA margin guidance was also raised to approximately 23% from 22%. The company anticipates US growth at 15–17%, with 7–8 new product launches expected from both Ipca and its subsidiary Unichem.
Brokerage Firms Maintain Bullish Outlook and Revise Targets

Nuvama Institutional Equities
Nuvama also retained its 'Buy' call, raising its target price to Rs 2,025 from Rs 1,720. Nuvama anticipates mid-term margin improvement to 25–26%, driven by a favorable product mix, operating leverage, and backward integration. Additionally, approximately Rs 900 crore of Ipca's capacity is expected to commence production or trial batches in CY26, signaling future growth potential.
Motilal Oswal Financial Services (MOFSL)
MOFSL retained its 'Buy' rating with a target price of Rs 2,060. The firm expects Ipca's robust earnings growth momentum, sustained over FY24-26, to continue through FY26-28. This growth is projected to be fueled by industry-leading performance in domestic formulations, increased export off-take, and favorable currency movements.
