Infosys Names Ashiss Kumar Dash CEO-Designate, Set to Lead Company in 2027

Infosys has appointed company veteran Ashiss Kumar Dash as its CEO-designate, slated to succeed Salil Parekh as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director on April 1, 2027. This move signals a planned leadership transition for India's second-largest IT services firm.

Infosys, India's second-largest IT services company, has announced the appointment of Ashiss Kumar Dash as its CEO-designate. Dash is set to assume the role of Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director on April 1, 2027, following the completion of current CEO Salil Parekh's nine-year tenure.

Ashiss Kumar Dash: A Veteran Leader

Ashiss Kumar Dash brings over three decades of experience at Infosys, where he has held numerous leadership positions across delivery, operations, and business management. He currently serves as the global head of a diverse business portfolio encompassing more than 12 industry verticals.

Throughout his career, Dash has been instrumental in driving Infosys's digital transformation initiatives, fostering innovation, and leading AI-led transformations within his teams. His responsibilities include guiding businesses that serve Fortune 500 and Global 2000 enterprises, focusing on digital strategy adoption, revenue growth, and operational excellence.

Beyond his corporate responsibilities, Dash is actively involved in global dialogues on sustainability, energy transition, and technology. He has contributed to significant forums such as the World Economic Forum, the United Nations' Global Investors for Sustainable Development Alliance, and represented Infosys at the B20 Summit 2023.

An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, Dash also completed the Global Leadership Program at Stanford University. He serves on the boards of several Infosys-owned entities, including Health Sigma, Simplus, Blue Acorn iCi, and Infosys Public Services, and is a trustee of Infosys Foundation USA.

Salil Parekh's Legacy at Infosys

Salil Parekh, who took the helm as Infosys CEO in January 2018, has guided the company through a significant period of growth and transformation. Under his leadership, Infosys evolved into a leading provider of digital, cloud, and artificial intelligence services, strengthening its global market position. The company reported strong shareholder returns, improved client satisfaction, and enhanced employee engagement during his tenure.

Before joining Infosys, Parekh spent approximately 25 years at Capgemini. He is an alumnus of IIT Bombay and holds master's degrees in Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University. In fiscal year 2026, Parekh was recognized as the highest-paid CEO among India's top IT companies, with a compensation package of Rs 82.6 crore.
