Infosys Foundation Enables 2.5 Lakh Job Offers in India, Targets 5 Lakh by 2030

· · 3 min read

Infosys Foundation's Springboard Livelihood Program has enabled over 2.5 lakh job offers across India. This milestone is halfway to its goal of 5 lakh opportunities by 2030, focusing on connecting skilling with actual employment.

The Infosys Foundation, the philanthropic and CSR arm of Infosys, has announced a significant achievement in its commitment to skill development and employment generation. Its Infosys Springboard Livelihood Program has successfully facilitated over 2.5 lakh job offers across India, reaching the halfway point towards its ambitious target of creating 5 lakh job opportunities by 2030.

Launched last year, the program emphasizes a holistic approach, linking industry-relevant skill training directly with tangible employment pathways. This initiative underscores the Foundation's dedication to fostering sustainable livelihoods through strategic skills training, robust employment support, and collaborative partnerships nationwide.

Impact on Diverse Beneficiaries

The program has made considerable strides in ensuring inclusive access to employment. Of the 2.5 lakh job offers enabled:

  • More than 1.17 lakh opportunities were secured by graduates.
  • Over 96,000 job offers went to undergraduates.

A strong focus has also been placed on empowering marginalized groups. The Foundation reports enabling more than 1.25 lakh job offers for women and over 1,000 for Persons with Disabilities (PwD).

To expand opportunities for people with disabilities, Infosys Foundation has partnered with the AssisTech Foundation (ATF) for its employment platform and will collaborate with The Association of People with Disability (APD).

"At Infosys Foundation, we believe the true success of education is not the number of people skilled, but the number of lives meaningfully transformed through employment," stated Sumit Virmani, Trustee, Infosys Foundation. "Reaching the halfway milestone of our 2030 goal with 2.5 lakh job offers demonstrates what is possible when learning is closely aligned to industry demand. Beyond livelihoods, this milestone represents greater economic independence, social mobility, and opportunities for individuals and families to build a more secure future."

Collaborative Partnerships Driving Success

The Infosys Springboard Livelihood Program operates through a network of 20 implementation partners. These include prominent organizations such as Nirmaan Organization, ICT Academy, Magic Bus, Centum Foundation, and Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (India).

Partners highlight the program's unique emphasis on facilitating the transition from classrooms and skill-building programs directly into the workforce.

V. Srikanth, CEO of ICT Academy, commented, "At ICT Academy, we believe that skills become truly transformative when they lead to sustainable livelihoods and economic empowerment. Through this initiative, we are seeing young people, many from underserved and first-generation learner backgrounds, gain industry-relevant skills, digital competencies, and the confidence to pursue meaningful careers."

Echoing this sentiment, Mayur Patnala, Founder, Chairperson & Global CEO, Nirmaan Organization, emphasized the program's role in realizing India's demographic dividend. "The Infosys Springboard Livelihood Program is helping bridge that gap by focusing not just on employability, but on sustainable livelihoods and long-term career growth," Patnala said, underscoring the collective effort to build a more inclusive and skilled nation.
