India's Fuel Prices Stable July 23 Despite Global Oil Hikes & Geopolitical Tensions

· · 2 min read

Despite rising crude oil prices and escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, LPG, CNG, and PNG rates remain unchanged across major Indian cities on July 23, 2026. Consumers can check the latest city-wise fuel rates here.

Indian consumers experienced stable prices for LPG, CNG, and PNG on July 23, 2026, even as global crude oil markets saw an uptick due to heightened geopolitical tensions. Fears of supply disruptions from the critical Strait of Hormuz, coupled with ongoing military action in the region, pushed international oil benchmarks higher.

Global Oil Market Volatility

Crude oil prices inched upwards after markets opened, driven by concerns over energy supply routes and escalating conflict. The US military continued its airstrikes against Iran for the twelfth consecutive day, with the US Central Command stating the mission aims to "further degrade Iran's ability to threaten civilian mariners and commercial vessels transiting regional waters."

Brent crude futures rose 1.84% to $95.75 per barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude climbed 1.25% to $88.08. These global movements underscore the volatile environment, yet India's domestic fuel prices have, for now, remained insulated from these immediate fluctuations.
