Key Company Highlights and Financial Results

Larsen & Toubro (L&T)

The engineering and capital goods giant, L&T, reported a 14% year-on-year (YoY) increase in net profit, reaching Rs 4,123 crore for the June 2026 quarter. Revenue also grew by 7% YoY to Rs 67,942 crore. Despite these gains, its EBITDA saw a 3% YoY decline to Rs 6,116 crore, with margins contracting by 90 basis points to 9%. Group order inflow, however, surged 14% YoY, totaling Rs 1.08 lakh crore for the quarter.

NTPC

The President of India has extended the re-employment of Gurdeep Singh as Chairman & Managing Director of NTPC on a contract basis. This extension is for a further six months, effective from August 1, 2026, following the completion of his current tenure on July 31, 2026.

Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC)

LIC's board has appointed Shatmanyu Shrivastava, Executive Director (Finance & Accounts), as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the corporation. His appointment became effective on July 28, 2026.

Tata Capital

The non-banking financial company (NBFC) showcased robust performance, with its net profit jumping 56% YoY to Rs 1,547 crore for the June 2026 quarter. Total income increased by 23% YoY to Rs 4,455 crore. Tata Capital's assets under management (AUM) also expanded significantly, rising 22% YoY to Rs 2.91 lakh crore, reflecting strong growth across its lending segments.

Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL)

The state-run railway firm received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from East Central Railway for doubling works on a 25T Indian Railway Standard Loading track. This project, valued at Rs 358.97 crore, involves construction from Kundawa Chainpur to Raxaul as part of the Sitamarhi-Raxaul section doubling in the Samastipur Division.

Phoenix Mills

The real estate developer reported a 23.3% YoY rise in net profit to Rs 296.9 crore for the June 2026 quarter, with revenue growing 12.8% YoY to Rs 1,074.9 crore. Operating EBITDA increased by 13.7% YoY to Rs 641.5 crore, and the EBITDA margin improved to 59.7%. Portfolio-wide retail consumption also saw a substantial increase, surging 32% YoY to Rs 4,727 crore during the quarter.

Paradeep Phosphates

The fertilizer manufacturer posted a 23.9% YoY increase in net profit, reaching Rs 392.5 crore for the June 2026 quarter. Revenue surged 36% YoY to Rs 6,124.3 crore. However, the EBITDA margin declined to 11.76% from 12.89% a year ago. The company's board also approved an investment of approximately Rs 250 crore for establishing an Aluminium Fluoride (AlF3) plant at its Paradeep facility.

Birlasoft

The IT services company announced a 51.3% YoY jump in net profit to Rs 161 crore for the June 2026 quarter. Revenue increased by 7.4% YoY to Rs 1,379.4 crore. EBITDA margin recovered to 16.1% from 10.3% in the previous year. Birlasoft also secured total contract value (TCV) deals worth $169 million during the quarter, a 20% YoY increase, significantly driven by AI-led engagements.

Graphite India

The US Department of Commerce has preliminarily imposed a 3.68% countervailing duty on exports of large-diameter graphite electrodes from Graphite India. This follows preliminary affirmative determinations in the countervailing duty (CVD) investigations.

RPG Life Sciences

The pharmaceutical company reported a 17% YoY increase in net profit to Rs 30.8 crore for the June 2026 quarter, with revenue rising 15.8% YoY to Rs 195.7 crore. EBITDA climbed 17.9% YoY to Rs 48 crore, and the EBITDA margin expanded by 40 basis points to 24.5%.
