India Fuel Prices Stable on June 30: LPG, CNG, PNG Rates & Supply Update

· · 2 min read

Household LPG, CNG, and PNG prices remain stable across India on June 30. Commercial LPG supplies to businesses have been fully restored to pre-crisis levels following an easing of West Asia conflict-related supply concerns.

As of June 30, 2026, household prices for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), and Piped Natural Gas (PNG) have largely held steady across India. This stability comes alongside the government's confirmation that full supply is being maintained for domestic consumers nationwide.

Crucially, the government has also announced the complete restoration of commercial LPG supplies to hotels, restaurants, and other businesses. This move follows the easing of concerns related to the West Asia conflict, which had previously disrupted supply chains.

Current Fuel Price Stability

Domestic LPG cylinder rates (14.2 kg) have seen no change since June 7, when they were last adjusted. Similarly, commercial LPG cylinder prices (19 kg) have remained constant since June 1. CNG and PNG rates were last revised in May.

Commercial LPG Supply Restoration

Restrictions on commercial LPG supplies, which had been in place due to disruptions from the West Asia conflict, have now been fully withdrawn. This decision follows an improvement in domestic production capacities and the anticipated arrival of imported LPG cargoes. The conflict had significantly impacted India, which relies on West Asian countries for approximately 90% of its cooking gas imports and about 40% of its crude imports.

During the peak of the crisis, the government prioritized household consumption, diverting available commercial LPG volumes to domestic users. Supplies were gradually restored in phases, reaching about 70% of normal levels before the full restoration announced today. Bulk LPG supplies, which were suspended at the conflict's outset, have also been partially resumed, operating at 50% of pre-crisis consumption levels.

The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has affirmed that there have been no 'dryouts' at LPG distributorships. Online booking rates have reportedly climbed to 98%, with 100% supply maintained for domestic LPG, PNG, and CNG nationwide. The government also reiterated its commitment to expanding PNG connectivity, encouraging eligible commercial and bulk consumers to transition to PNG where networks are available.
