Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) announced its highest-ever monthly total sales in July 2026, reaching an impressive 75,360 units across both domestic and international markets. This significant achievement represents a 25.4% increase compared to the same period last year, driven by robust demand within India and strong overseas shipments.
Domestic Sales Surge to New Heights
The automaker's domestic sales alone stood at 54,210 units during July, marking a substantial 23.3% rise from July of the previous year. This performance set a new record for HMIL's domestic sales in any given July, underscoring growing consumer confidence and market penetration in India.
Exports Reach a Decade-High Milestone
Exports also saw a remarkable surge, with HMIL shipping 21,150 units overseas in July. This figure represents a 31.4% year-on-year increase and marks the highest monthly export volume for the company in over 100 months. This strong export showing highlights the increasing global demand for Hyundai vehicles manufactured in India.
Tarun Garg, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of HMIL, commented on the performance: "Achieving 75,360 total sales (domestic and exports), our highest-ever monthly volume since inception, underscores the immense trust consumers place in brand Hyundai." He further added that the record export performance reinforces the company's commitment to its "Make in India, Made for the World" strategy, solidifying India's position as a critical manufacturing and export hub for Hyundai's global operations.
Top-Performing Models Drive Growth
Among individual models, the Hyundai Creta emerged as the company's leading performer, recording its highest monthly sales of calendar year 2026 with 18,088 units sold. The Hyundai i20 also contributed significantly to the record month, achieving its best monthly sales of the year with 6,738 units.
These figures indicate a strong start to the new quarter for Hyundai Motor India, reflecting positive market sentiment and successful product strategies.
