Honda Cars India has rolled out the latest iteration of its popular City sedan and simultaneously debuted the new ZR-V Hybrid SUV for the Indian market. The updated Honda City facelift enters showrooms with an attractive starting price of ₹11.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), bringing a host of enhancements to its design, features, and safety.

Refreshed Honda City Facelift Arrives

The 2026 Honda City facelift showcases notable updates both inside and out. On the exterior, customers will notice a refreshed front grille, redesigned bumpers, and new alloy wheel options, giving the sedan a more contemporary appeal.

Inside the cabin, the City facelift receives new upholstery choices and an upgraded infotainment system that now supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Higher-end variants will also benefit from a new 7-inch digital instrument cluster.

Safety remains a priority, with the advanced Honda Sensing ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) suite now standard across all hybrid variants and available in the top-spec petrol models. This comprehensive package includes features like collision mitigation braking, road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, and auto high-beam.

Under the hood, the Honda City retains its reliable engine options: the 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine (121hp, 145Nm) paired with either a 6-speed manual or CVT, and the fuel-efficient 1.5-litre Atkinson-cycle petrol-hybrid powertrain (126hp combined, 253Nm) coupled with an e-CVT. Honda has also introduced a new entry-level SV variant for the petrol manual.

Honda ZR-V Hybrid SUV Makes Indian Debut

Alongside the City facelift, Honda has officially unveiled the ZR-V Hybrid SUV for the Indian market. While specific pricing details for the ZR-V are yet to be announced, it is positioned as a premium offering designed to compete in the highly competitive mid-size SUV segment.

The ZR-V Hybrid SUV boasts a sporty and sophisticated design, characterized by a prominent grille and sleek LED lighting. It is expected to share its advanced 1.5-litre Atkinson-cycle petrol-hybrid powertrain with the City e:HEV, promising impressive fuel efficiency and strong performance.

The interior of the ZR-V is anticipated to offer a premium experience with high-quality materials, a large touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, and a panoramic sunroof. Safety features will likely include the Honda Sensing ADAS suite, mirroring the comprehensive safety offerings found in the City.

The Honda ZR-V is set to rival established players such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, as Honda aims to strengthen its SUV portfolio in India with this new, technologically advanced offering.
