Major Infrastructure Project Awarded

The Kolkata-based infrastructure firm confirmed it has been declared L1 (lowest bidder) for a substantial project. The contract involves the construction of an important bridge, designated Bridge 544, over the Mahanadi River. This critical infrastructure development is part of the 3rd and 4th line expansion between the Nergundi-Barang section within the Khurda Road Division of East Coast Railway.

The specific scope includes a 32x65.84m Open Web Steel Girder bridge, highlighting the technical complexity and scale of the undertaking. This award solidifies GPT Infraprojects' position in major railway infrastructure development.

Market Reaction and Company Profile

Following the announcement, GPT Infraprojects' market capitalization increased to ₹1402.65 crore. A total of 0.25 lakh shares were traded on the BSE, amounting to a turnover of ₹28.33 lakh.

GPT Infraprojects, the flagship entity of the GPT Group, operates primarily through two segments: Infrastructure and Sleeper. The company is recognized for its robust project execution capabilities and strong financial foundation, which underpin its growth prospects in the infrastructure sector.
