Precious metal markets in India saw a slight uptick for gold while silver held steady on September 9, 2026. These daily fluctuations are closely monitored by investors and consumers, especially as the festive season approaches, driving domestic demand for jewellery.

MCX Futures Show Modest Gains for Gold

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold futures experienced a marginal increase, rising by 0.02% to settle at ₹1,52,605 per 10 grams. In contrast, silver futures maintained their position, remaining constant at approximately ₹2,39,425 per kilogram.

Retail prices for both 24-carat and 22-carat gold, as well as silver, varied slightly across major Indian metropolitan areas on September 9. These rates are influenced by a combination of international gold prices, the US Dollar exchange rate, and local market dynamics.
