Dhoot Transmission, a prominent manufacturer of automotive wiring harnesses and related components, is set to launch its initial public offering (IPO) on August 10, 2026. The company, backed by global investment firm Bain Capital, has fixed the IPO price band at ₹829 to ₹871 per equity share.

Key Dates and Price Range

The subscription window for the Dhoot Transmission IPO will open for retail and non-institutional investors on August 10 and conclude on August 12. Anchor investors will have an opportunity to bid for shares starting August 7. Investors can apply for a minimum of 17 shares, with bids accepted in multiples thereof.

At the upper end of the price band (₹871 per share), the company anticipates raising approximately ₹3,066.89 crore. This public issue is structured to include a fresh issue of equity shares worth ₹1,400 crore, alongside an offer for sale (OFS) of around 1.9 crore shares by existing shareholders, including Bain Capital.

Issue Structure and Share Allocation

Upon its listing, Dhoot Transmission is projected to command a market capitalization of ₹17,816.14 crore. The IPO has allocated 50% of its total issue size for Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs), 15% for Non-Institutional Investors (NIIs), and 35% for retail investors.

Currently, Bain Capital holds approximately 55% of the company's stake, with the remaining ownership residing with the Dhoot family. The allotment of shares is expected to be finalized by August 13, with the company's shares slated to debut on the stock exchanges on August 17.

Founded in 1999, Dhoot Transmission specializes in manufacturing a diverse range of products, including wiring harnesses, electronic sensors, automotive switches, cords, cables, and components for electric vehicles (EVs). Its clientele spans various vehicle segments, from two-wheelers and three-wheelers to passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, off-highway vehicles, and farm equipment, catering to both internal combustion engine (ICE) and EV platforms.

The company operates a robust manufacturing footprint across multiple countries, including India, the United Kingdom, Slovakia, Thailand, Japan, and South Korea. The IPO is managed by a consortium of book-running lead managers, including Axis Capital, Jefferies, Kotak Mahindra Capital, Nomura, SBI Capital Markets, and 360 ONE WAM.
