Coforge Ltd. saw its shares climb by 2% in Thursday's trading following the announcement of a significant expansion to its Kraków engineering center in Poland. The company positions this facility as a strategic AI engineering and nearshore delivery hub, intended to enhance its capabilities in AI-first engineering, cloud, and modernization services for clients across Europe and globally.
The Kraków center, operational since 2025, currently functions as a multi-client, multi-practice delivery hub. Coforge stated that the facility employs over 375 engineers, with plans to increase this workforce to more than 660 professionals by 2027. The expansion also includes an additional 20,000 square feet of new workspace and scalable infrastructure, designed to accommodate growing client demand and workforce growth.
This strategic move is expected to strengthen Coforge's delivery capabilities, particularly supporting clients in European and UK time zones due to its proximity to major European technology hubs. The Kraków center boasts a diverse client portfolio spanning sectors such as travel, banking, logistics, retail, and enterprise services.
Coforge highlighted that the expansion reflects the increasing demand for AI-enabled engineering solutions and the necessity for delivery models that combine global scale with local expertise. The company aims for the center to support European enterprises in critical areas like AI, modernization, and broader digital transformation initiatives.
Describing itself as an AI-native engineering services provider, Coforge focuses on designing, building, and delivering intelligent solutions for businesses. Its service offerings encompass AI, hyperspecialized industry expertise, alongside robust cloud, data, and digital transformation capabilities.
