Analyst Projections for Q1 Results
Several brokerage firms have released their estimates for Coforge's Q1 performance. Elara Securities forecasts Coforge's Q1 net profit at Rs 505 crore, marking an 89.60% increase YoY, with net sales estimated at Rs 4,597 crore, up 24.6% YoY. Similarly, Axis Securities predicts an 83.80% YoY rise in net profit to Rs 526 crore, compared to Rs 286 crore in the same quarter last year. While an expansion in EBIT margin is expected YoY, some analysts, including Axis Securities, anticipate a sequential decline of about 35 basis points due to weak operating leverage, despite favorable currency movements.
Key Focus Areas for Investors
Beyond the headline numbers, investors will be keenly observing several strategic aspects of Coforge's Q1 report. A primary focus will be on the growth acceleration following a softer previous quarter, particularly as headwinds from pass-through and India business operations are expected to diminish. The integration of the recently acquired Encore business is also a critical point of interest, with its contribution to revenue and potential impact on overall margins being closely scrutinized.
Other key areas include new deal wins, trends in the order book, and commentary on vertical-wise performance. Kotak Institutional Equities highlighted the importance of sustained deal wins to maintain an aspirational 15% organic growth trajectory. Furthermore, balance sheet trends, including cash generation for debt repayment related to the Encore acquisition, capital allocation priorities, and any potential recalibration of dividend payouts to accelerate deleveraging, will also be closely monitored by the market.
