Infrastructure developer Ceigall India saw its shares climb 6% after its joint ventures secured five Letters of Acceptance from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. These contracts, worth Rs 2,423.70 crore, are for road construction across 278 km of the Frontier Highway in Arunachal Pradesh.

Shares of Ceigall India Ltd. surged by as much as 6% during Thursday's trading session on August 20, 2026. The increase followed an announcement from the infrastructure development company that its joint ventures had successfully secured five Letters of Acceptance (LOAs) from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. These contracts, valued at a combined Rs 2,423.70 crore, are designated for significant road construction projects in Arunachal Pradesh.

Major Contract Wins on Frontier Highway

The five LOAs collectively span approximately 278 kilometers of the strategically vital Frontier Highway. This substantial order intake marks one of the company's largest single-corridor order-win windows, underscoring Ceigall India's significant scale and execution capabilities, particularly in the challenging geographical terrain of India's Northeast.

Details of the Secured Projects

One of the key awards is an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) package valued at Rs 274.08 crore. This project involves the construction of a section of road from km 17.812 to km 55.377, identified as Package-2, within the Bile-Migging section of NH-913. It will be upgraded to Intermediate Lane standards.

  • This particular project has been awarded to a joint venture between Ceigall India Ltd. and Rajinder Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd.
  • Ceigall India holds a 70% stake in this specific joint venture, with Rajinder Infrastructure holding the remaining 30%.
  • The construction period for this project is set for 48 months, followed by a five-year maintenance period.

In addition to this, the company's joint venture with Sushee Infra Mining Ltd. secured four other LOAs. These contracts are for the construction of Intermediate Lane roads across the Huri-Taliha and Sarli-Huri sections of NH-913, with an aggregate bid cost of Rs 2,149.62 crore.

  • Each of these four packages has construction periods ranging from 36 to 48 months.
  • Similar to the other contract, each of these projects will also be followed by a five-year maintenance period.

Leadership's Perspective on Growth

Commenting on these developments, Ramneek Sehgal, Chairman and Managing Director of Ceigall India Ltd., emphasized the significance of the wins. "Within the space of two days, our joint ventures have secured five Letters of Acceptance worth a combined Rs 2,423.70 crore on the Frontier Highway alone — a reflection of the confidence authorities continue to place in our execution capabilities and of the depth of our presence in Arunachal Pradesh," Sehgal stated. "Together, these five packages span nearly 278 km of Intermediate Lane road construction across some of the region's most demanding terrain. Arunachal Pradesh presents distinctive engineering and execution challenges, and we remain committed to delivering all five projects with the highest standards of quality, safety and timely execution, while contributing meaningfully to the region's connectivity and economic development."

The successful acquisition of these contracts further strengthens Ceigall India's presence in the Northeast region and highlights its capacity to undertake large-scale infrastructure projects in challenging environments.
