A British family's inaugural journey on India's Vande Bharat Express has become an online sensation, with their travel vlog documenting the Delhi-to-Jaipur trip surpassing 5 million views on Instagram. The Hutchinson Family, content creators, offered international viewers a detailed look at the flagship Indian Railways train, emphasizing its pristine interiors, onboard facilities, and remarkably quiet ride.

A Smooth Journey: From Boarding to Onboard Amenities

The vlog, originally posted in October 2025, captures the family of five rushing to board the train before settling into what the mother described as an unexpectedly pleasant experience. Key highlights for the family included the availability of both Indian and Western-style toilets, the overall cleanliness of the coaches, and the peaceful atmosphere.

The family was particularly impressed by the amenities at their seats. "This is really, really cool," the mother noted, pointing out the numerous charging sockets, a complimentary bottle of fresh water, and ample overhead storage for luggage. While they initially faced a minor challenge fitting a 28 kg suitcase into the overhead racks, the smooth ride and friendly co-passengers contributed to a "really cool" overall experience.

Cost and Refreshments on the Vande Bharat Express

In a separate video, the family disclosed that the Vande Bharat journey from Delhi to Jaipur cost approximately £11 (around ₹1,408) per person. During the four-hour trip, passengers were served a variety of refreshments, including a packet of diet mixture, mango juice, caramel popcorn, a piece of kachori, and an instant ginger tea packet. Railway staff later provided hot water, allowing passengers to prepare their tea at their seats.

Positive Reception and Social Media Buzz

The Hutchinsons' video sparked a wave of positive reactions from social media users. Many commenters appreciated the family for showcasing a positive and often overlooked aspect of travel in India. One user remarked, "Finally, some foreigners showing the good side of India and have a good budget." Others praised the "supremacy of Vande Bharat" and highlighted the importance of civic sense in maintaining such high standards. The video resonated widely, with many expressing joy that the family experienced one of the country's best trains on their first railway journey in India.
