Brightcom Group Shares Surge 9% on FTSE Global Equity Index Re-inclusion

Shares of Brightcom Group jumped 9% after the digital marketing firm was re-included in the FTSE Global Equity Index Series Micro Cap Index. This move follows a previous suspension and is expected to boost investor visibility.

Brightcom Group Ltd. saw its shares climb as much as 9% in Monday's trading session following the announcement of its re-inclusion in the prestigious FTSE Global Equity Index Series (FTSE GEIS) Micro Cap Index. The global digital marketing and advertising technology (AdTech) company confirmed its return to the index, a development that saw its stock price reach Rs 9.79 on the BSE.

The re-inclusion by FTSE Russell, a London Stock Exchange Group business, also extends to the FTSE Asia Pacific ex Japan ex China Micro Cap Index. This decision comes after a recent review, with the changes officially considered final from September 7, 2026, and Brightcom Group's inclusion becoming effective on September 21, 2026.

Historical Context and Suspension

Brightcom Group was initially part of the FTSE Global Equity Index Series in 2020, later transitioning to the FTSE Global Small Cap Index. However, the company faced a suspension of trading for its shares from June 14, 2024, which subsequently led to its removal from the FTSE index.

Trading in Brightcom's shares resumed on both the BSE and NSE on July 14, 2025, after the suspension was lifted. Since then, the company has reportedly maintained the necessary compliance and regulatory requirements, which were crucial factors in FTSE Russell's latest review process.

Impact on Investor Visibility

The company views its return to the FTSE index as a significant milestone, particularly following the resumption of trading. Brightcom Group anticipates that this inclusion will substantially increase its visibility among international investors.

Being part of a globally recognized FTSE Russell index is expected to make Brightcom's stock more easily identifiable and trackable for institutional investors, fund managers, and research teams. These entities frequently utilize such indices for investment analysis and portfolio benchmarking.
