· · 2 min read

Emraan Hashmi's latest film, 'Awarapan 2', is close to reaching the ₹200 crore global box office milestone after 11 days. This success marks his highest-grossing movie since 'The Dirty Picture' in 2011.

Emraan Hashmi and Disha Patani starrer 'Awarapan 2' continues its strong performance at the box office, rapidly approaching the coveted ₹200 crore mark in worldwide gross collections. As of its 11th day, the film has amassed ₹196.55 crore globally, cementing its status as a major success for Hashmi.

Box Office Milestones and India Collections

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, 'Awarapan 2' collected ₹2.75 crore net in India on its eleventh day, bringing its total domestic net collection to ₹139 crore. The film's gross collection in India stands at ₹165.75 crore. Despite a slight dip on its second Monday compared to the weekend, the movie has consistently drawn audiences, showcasing impressive staying power.

The film had previously crossed the ₹100 crore net milestone in India during its first week, with day five alone contributing ₹9.75 crore. This initial surge propelled its worldwide gross to ₹144.13 crore in just five days.

Global Reach and Hashmi's Career High

Internationally, 'Awarapan 2' added approximately ₹0.50 crore on day 11, pushing its total overseas gross to ₹30.80 crore. With a global tally of ₹196.55 crore, the film is now just ₹3.45 crore shy of hitting the ₹200 crore global benchmark.

This performance is particularly significant for Emraan Hashmi, as 'Awarapan 2' has emerged as his biggest box office earner since 'The Dirty Picture' (2011), which concluded its theatrical run with a worldwide gross of around ₹117.64 crore. The current success underscores a strong comeback for the actor in commercial cinema.

Upcoming Competition

The film's final push towards the ₹200 crore mark will be crucial, especially with the impending release of Yash's 'Toxic' on August 26. The new release is expected to impact 'Awarapan 2's screen count and daily earnings, making the next few days vital for its ultimate box office trajectory.
