Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi has sold a commercial shop in Mumbai's prime Lokhandwala Complex for ₹6.25 crore. The sale represents a nearly three-fold return on his original ₹2.12 crore investment from 2012, highlighting the strong performance of Mumbai's real estate market.

Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi, widely known for his comedic roles, has made a savvy move in Mumbai's real estate market, selling a commercial shop in the upscale Lokhandwala Complex for a significant profit. The transaction, registered on July 1, saw the property change hands for ₹6.25 crore, yielding a nearly three-fold return on Warsi's initial investment.

A Lucrative Real Estate Transaction

Warsi originally acquired the commercial unit in February 2012 for ₹2.12 crore. Over a decade later, the sale price of ₹6.25 crore demonstrates a robust appreciation in value for prime Mumbai properties. The shop, located in Andheri West's sought-after Lokhandwala Complex, boasts a carpet area of 63.87 square metres (approximately 684 square feet).

The buyer in this high-value deal has been identified as Umang Rajkumar Budhraja, who also paid ₹37.50 lakh in stamp duty. Based on the registered sale value, the property commanded a price of approximately ₹91,400 per square foot, underscoring the premium nature of the Lokhandwala commercial hub.

Mumbai's Enduring Property Market

This transaction highlights the sustained strength and investment potential of Mumbai's real estate sector, particularly in high-demand localities like Lokhandwala. It serves as a testament to the rewards that long-term ownership of commercial assets can offer, attracting both investors and celebrities alike.

Warsi's Financial Acumen Beyond the Screen

While Arshad Warsi is celebrated for his iconic portrayal of characters like "Circuit" in the Munna Bhai MBBS series and his roles in films such as Dhamaal and the Jolly LLB franchise, his latest property deal reveals a keen understanding of the real estate market. Neither Warsi nor the buyer has publicly commented on the sale, with details emerging from official property registration documents accessed by real estate analytics firm Liases Foras.
