Shares of Alok Industries Ltd, a textile company backed by Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL), plummeted to a fresh 52-week low on Tuesday, marking the sixth consecutive session of decline. The stock fell 4.24 percent in early trade, reaching Rs 8.13, contributing to an annual drop of over 52.67 percent.
The significant increase in trading volume for Alok Industries prompted stock exchanges BSE and NSE to seek clarification from the company. In its official response, Alok Industries stated that it had made all necessary disclosures as required by SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
Company Clarifies Disclosure Compliance
The company affirmed, "There is no information which has not been announced to the stock exchanges and which should have been announced by the Company in terms of the Listing Regulations." It further committed to continue making disclosures in compliance with its obligations and agreements with the stock exchanges.
First Quarter Financials for FY27
On the financial front, Alok Industries reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 138.25 crore for the quarter ending June 30, 2026 (Q1 FY27). This represents an improvement compared to the net loss of Rs 171.56 crore recorded in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year (Q1 FY26).
Revenue from operations for Q1 FY27 saw a modest increase of 6.50 percent year-on-year (YoY), reaching Rs 993.11 crore. As of June 2026, Reliance Industries Ltd held a substantial 40.01 percent stake in Alok Industries, while JM Financial Asset Reconstruction Company owned 34.99 percent.
