Abakkus Mutual Fund has achieved a significant milestone, surpassing ₹10,000 crore in assets under management (AUM) within less than a year of launching its inaugural scheme. As of August 13, 2026, the fund house's AUM stood at ₹10,056 crore, marking a rapid ascent in the competitive Indian mutual fund landscape.
The achievement comes approximately eight months after Abakkus Mutual Fund introduced its first scheme in December 2025. This swift growth has attracted a substantial investor base, with the fund house now serving over 1.91 lakh investors across more than 2,000 locations nationwide.
Rapid Growth Attributed to Investor Trust and Strategy
Founded by veteran investor Sunil Singhania, Abakkus Mutual Fund currently manages a diverse portfolio, including three equity schemes—Flexi Cap Fund, Small Cap Fund, and Large & Mid Cap Fund—alongside a Liquid Fund.
Vaibhav Chugh, CEO of Abakkus Mutual Fund, emphasized that this milestone reflects more than just asset size; it signifies the strong confidence placed in the fund house by its investors, distribution partners, and dedicated employees. "₹10,000 crore is an important milestone for us, but what gives the number meaning is the trust behind it," Chugh stated, highlighting the collaborative effort.
The fund house has outlined plans for its next phase, focusing on broadening its market reach, strengthening its distribution network, and further diversifying its product offerings to cater to a wider range of investor needs.
Focus on Rigorous Research and Disciplined Investment
Abakkus Mutual Fund attributes its investment success to its proprietary MEETS framework. This approach, which stands for Management, Earnings, Events/Trends, Timing, and Structural factors, ensures a comprehensive evaluation of businesses. The core of their strategy remains rooted in fundamental research.
Sanjay Doshi, Head of Investments & Research at Abakkus Mutual Fund, underscored the importance of their disciplined processes. "From the beginning, we have placed considerable emphasis on rigorous research, robust risk management and investment processes that are clear, simple and well-defined," Doshi commented. He added that their strategy aims to identify resilient businesses at fair valuations while maintaining a vigilant focus on risk mitigation.
Registered with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) in August 2025, Abakkus Mutual Fund's asset management company, Abakkus Investment Managers, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Abakkus Asset Manager. The fund house joins a select group of firms, including Jio Blackrock AMC and Bajaj Finserv AMC, that have achieved the ₹10,000 crore AUM mark within a year of launch.
