Aastha Spintex, a prominent textile company based in Gujarat, has announced a significant strategic expansion, moving beyond its core cotton yarn production into the manufacturing of grey fabric and other value-added textile products. This diversification follows the company's recent acquisition of Falcon Yarns, a move that has substantially increased its production capabilities.
Doubling Production Capacity
The acquisition of Falcon Yarns has been a pivotal step, more than doubling Aastha Spintex's annual spinning capacity from 7,700 metric tonnes to an impressive 17,457 metric tonnes. Concurrently, the company's spindle capacity has expanded from 25,920 to 61,824. This expanded production base is now poised to support the company's entry into higher-value fabric manufacturing.
By integrating fabric production, Aastha Spintex aims to capture a larger share of the overall textile manufacturing process. This shift is expected to broaden its product portfolio and reduce its reliance solely on yarn sales, potentially enhancing revenue streams and profitability as new capacities are utilized and value-added products gain traction in the market.
Financial Performance and Future Outlook
Aastha Spintex reported robust financial results for FY26, with revenues reaching Rs 352 crore and a net profit of Rs 23.8 crore. This represents a substantial increase in profit over the past four years, growing from approximately Rs 1 crore to its current level. The company's recent order book for Falcon Yarns, spanning August to October 2026, stands at around Rs 51.46 crore, encompassing 38 orders for 17.35 lakh kg of cotton yarn from over 10 domestic customers.
In addition to its business expansion, Aastha Spintex has also announced shareholder-friendly measures. The board has recommended a final dividend of Re 0.10 per share, pending shareholder approval. September 9 has been set as the record date for determining eligible shareholders for this dividend.
This strategic pivot into fabric manufacturing marks a significant milestone for Aastha Spintex, positioning it for further growth and increased market penetration within the competitive textile industry.
