At just 23 years old, Anjali Sardana has steered her instant home services startup, Pronto, to a remarkable valuation of approximately ₹2,000 crore (around $202 million) in India. Launched in April 2025, the Bengaluru-based company has quickly established itself as a significant player in the on-demand domestic assistance sector.
Pronto's model focuses on providing trained and background-verified helpers for a range of daily household chores, promising service delivery in as little as 10 minutes. This rapid fulfillment model addresses a key need in India's bustling urban centers, offering convenience and reliability to consumers.
From Georgetown Idea to Indian Startup
Anjali Sardana, a Delhi-born graduate of Georgetown University with a biology degree, began conceptualizing Pronto during her college years. Her research focused on India's informal labor ecosystem, identifying critical pain points for both households seeking reliable help and workers struggling with inconsistent earnings and lack of formalization. After securing a $2 million seed round from Bain Capital, Sardana returned to India to launch Pronto on April 1, 2025, initially operating from a single hub in Gurugram.
Innovating the Domestic Work Sector
Pronto's distinctive operating model charges customers per task rather than by the hour, making small, frequent home-help requests economically viable. This shift-based, task-priced system aims to formalize domestic work, providing workers with guaranteed shifts and more predictable, higher earnings. Services offered include cleaning, mopping, laundry, ironing, utensil washing, and basic meal preparation. The company operates through micro-hubs strategically located within residential clusters to ensure its 10-minute service guarantee.
Rapid Growth and Significant Funding
The startup has experienced exponential growth since its inception. From approximately 1,000 daily bookings in its first year, Pronto now manages around 18,000 bookings per day, with monthly order volumes surpassing 350,000 by February 2026. This rapid scaling attracted further investment, culminating in a $25 million Series B funding round in March 2026. Led by Epiq Capital, with participation from General Catalyst, Glade Brook Capital, and Bain Capital Ventures, this round pushed Pronto's post-money valuation to $100 million, which later climbed to over $200 million by July 2026, according to data firm Tracxn.
Future Outlook and Competitive Landscape
Pronto is currently operational in major Indian cities including Gurugram, Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, with ambitious plans to expand into more metropolitan areas over the next 12–18 months. The fresh capital raised is designated for onboarding and training 10,000 additional professionals, enhancing quality assurance, and refining its real-time operations technology. As it navigates a competitive landscape alongside rivals like Snabbit and Urban Company’s InstaHelp, Pronto is positioning itself as a tech-driven network for India’s vast informal domestic workforce, with Anjali Sardana emerging as one of the country's youngest and most impactful founders in the on-demand services space.
